Mercy has named Donn Sorensen to the role of regional president for Mercy’s east Missouri region, and Charles Rehm, MD, to the position of regional chief administrative officer, effective March 12.

MoDOT to discuss toll-road options at Warrenton meeting Thursday - Meeting to include 2nd highest ranking officer of MoDOT

MoDOT has scheduled a meeting to "Dialogue with MoDOT" in Warrenton to discuss all things MoDOT – with an emphasis on Interstate 70 and tolling options.

The meeting is being promoted by the Boonslick Regional Planning Commission, headquartered in Warrenton.

“Wildlife Magic” exhibit to open at Jefferson Landing State Historic Site

“Wildlife Magic,” an exhibition of nature photography by Bob Colvin, will be featured at the Jefferson Landing State Historic Site’s Elizabeth Rozier Gallery beginning March 1 through May 26.

Former St. Joseph’s School and Church items to be auctioned at the schools auditorium in Rhineland

“Too many items to list” is an understatement for the Church of the Risen Savior Parish Auction to be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012. The auction will be held in the auditorium/gymnasium of the former St. Joseph’s School, 605 Bluff Street, Rhineland, MO 65069.

Statues, alters, linens, banners, processional crosses, confessional, kneelers, pews and many other church items will be offered at the auction.

Attorney General Koster shuts down Dallas County dog breeding facility

Attorney General Chris Koster has shut down a Dallas County dog breeder for violations of Missouri’s Animal Care Facilities Act and Canine Cruelty Prevention Act. Koster said his office obtained an injunction last month prohibiting Lori Goss from operating any dog breeding facility in Missouri for ten years.

OBITUARY: Mildred Brown (May 22, 1925 - February 20, 2012)

Mildred Brown, of Washington, Mo., passed away Monday, February 20. 2012 at St Lukes Hospital West in Chesterfield, Mo., at the age of 86.

Mildred was born to William and Arena (nee-Fultz) Seglehorst on May 22, 1925. She served her country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, the Women's Guild and the Lion's Club in Marthasville.

Navy honors our allies at memorial in Australia

Vice Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Mark Ferguson lays a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at the Australian War Memorial while visiting Camberra, Australia.
